FUN FACT

Although I grew up going to Walt Disney World ALOT as a child, my husband had not experienced a Disney vacation until our honeymoon. We were able to start our new life together with all the magic of Disney. We visited all of the parks, ate a variety of food, went shopping, and took in all of the Disney Christmas sights. Our family tradition continues as we take our three children each chance we get.

FAVORITE DISNEY MEMORY

My favorite Disney memory was going to the Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day when I was young. There were so many decorations and lights, festive music, and lively entertainment. I watched the Christmas Story being told by celebrities while a mass choir sang Christmas carols. The time spent with my family during this joyous time of year has me returning each Christmas I can.

FIRST THING I DO AT DISNEY

When my family arrives at Disney, we like to take a break on the first day. We ride the monorail, eat at Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare, swim in the hotel pool, and get in bed early. We always stop by the Fort Wilderness Campground to watch the Electric Water Parade before returning to the hotel. We want to be well-rested to start the next day in the park on the right foot.

MUST-DO ATTRACTION

My must-do attraction is Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom. When I was young, I loved the idea of visiting space! This roller coaster is great for both young and old.

MUST-DO RESTAURANT

A must-do restaurant for me is the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Fort Wilderness Lodge. There is an excellent variety of food, and it is served in large skillets for an all-you-can-eat family-style service you won't regret!

MUST-DO SNACK

My must-do snack is getting a funnel cake at Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom. This reminds me of my first trip with my husband as we shared this classic snack. Another favorite is grilled cheese from Woody's Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios. As my youngest son and I waited for the family to finish a ride, he and I sat down to enjoy delicious grilled cheese and potato barrels.

FAVORITE RESORT

My traditional resort vacation would be the All-Star Resort hotels. They are convenient and offer a wide variety of foods and snacks. There are many pools and activities to do throughout the day and night. The kids enjoy seeing all of the massive character statues around the resort. They love to play on the life-size football field or pretend to choose songs from the huge jukebox. There is always something to see!
